Summary: A Guide to setting up the SpeedTouch ST-510 1-port router.
1. Before you beginThis guide will take you through setting up your SpeedTouch router from scratch and applies to both Windows and Apple OS X systems. Check the label on the bottom of your router and make sure it says ST510v6 in the top left corner (pictured below). If the label on your router says ST516v6, you need to follow the ST516 Connection guide.

The Power light will turn red at first and the Broadband light will flash - wait until they've turned green (and stopped flashing) before continuing. [Top]3. Connecting to your ComputerFollow these steps to get the SpeedTouch router connected to your computer.
4. Connecting to the InternetNow that your router is installed, you'll need to configure it. Open your web browser and you'll see a setup page asking for your Broadband Username and Password. If you're not sure what these are, you can find your Broadband Username under Connection Settings in the Member Centre. The Password is the one that you use to log in to this website. Type them in and click Connect. After a few moments you'll be connected to Broadband - that's it!
5. TroubleshootingResetting your routerIf you have any problems with your router, you can return everything to the default settings by using the reset button. Make sure you have note of your broadband username and password before you start Use a paperclip, pen or pointed object to press into the reset pin hole on the back of the router. Keep the button pressed in for at least 7 seconds. When the power light goes red, release the button and wait until the power light turns green again. You now need to apply your settings again. 6. Advanced SettingsThe SpeedTouch ST-510 has a built in firewall and other advanced features. You can find them under the Toolbox menu which you'll see on the left side of the router setup pages. To control these features; open your web browser and enter http://192.168.1.254 in the address bar. When the router home page has loaded, click Toolbox. For more information, click the Help link, you'll see this towards the top right of the router home pages.
