Essential offers a 'bundled' broadband (based on Broadband Your Way Option 1) and Home Phone product for £16.65.

Yes. We've made Plusnet Essential available to all residential customers.

There is a single 12-month contract - covering both the broadband and Home Phone parts of Plusnet Essential.

8. Do I get a credit limit?

You do. There's a £50 credit limit with Plusnet Essential.

9. I chose free activation and hardware for the account I have now. What happens to these costs if I move to Essential?

If you chose our free setup option this will be carried over to your new product (i.e. you still won't pay a penny for your setup and hardware if you stay with us for 12 months). You will then begin a new 12 month Essential contract.

10. Is Essential suitable for online gaming?

No, you'll find our Broadband Your Way Pro product more suitable. We've specifically designed this for a great gaming experience.

11. What's the usage allowance?

There's 1GB of included usage. However, you can go online as much as you like between midnight and 8am and you won't get charged.

12. Will I get two bills - one for broadband and one for phone calls?

No, your broadband and calls will be combined into just one online bill.

13. I'd like to move to Essential from another Plusnet product - how do I?

To do this you'll need to raise a Ticket to our Support Team using the Help Assistant. Please let us know what product you'd like to move from and what date you'd like move. To do this go to the Help Assistant and click on :

Sales & Orders > Plusnet Essential > Move to or from Plusnet Essential
