Keywords: broadband | usage | traffic | management | products | capacity Summary: How Traffic Management and Peak Time Usage Limits work.

This page contains information on traffic management and usage limits for customers on our range of products prior to Plusnet Value, Plusnet Pro and Plusnet Premium products. Customers can continue to benefit from these features, or can upgrade to Plusnet Value, Plusnet Pro or Plusnet Premium at no extra charge.

Why do we have to manage traffic on our network?

Like other ISPs we deliver our broadband service over a network which is shared amongst our customers. This means we have to manage our network to ensure we provide a sustainable broadband service to all our customers.

For more general information on how we manage our network, see our traffic prioritisation information.

Traffic management for legacy products is based on peak time usage between the hours of 4pm and midnight. Plusnet Value, Plusnet Pro and Plusnet Premium usage is measured from 8am to Midnight.
