Summary: Information about how contracts work
Many Plusnet residential products are purchased with either a 12 month or 18 month contract. (Plusnet business products are purchased with either a 12 month or 24 month contract). This guide explains how our contacts work. All 12, 18 and 24 month contracts automatically become monthly contracts after 12, 18 or 24 months.
What if I want to cancel before the end of my 12, 18 or 24 month contract period? To cancel within the first 12, 18 or 24 months, you'd need to pay up to the end of your notice period. (E.g. Using the 12 month example shown above, if you were cancelling in January 2009, you'd be due to pay from January to September 11th 2009).
What if I decide I want to cancel when my 12, 18 or 24 month period ends?If you choose to cancel at the end of your initial 12, 18 or 24 month period, you should ask to cancel at least 30 days before the end of the period. (E.g. Using the 12 month example shown above, this would be on 11th August 2009 - so that you're not charged for a 13th month). What if I cancel after my initial 12, 18 or 24 month period has passed? You will need to give 10 days notice for a residential account, 30 days for a business account. You would also need to pay for costs that fall within this notice period - usually your next month's subscription. |
