Netscape Communicator mail
How to set up Netscape Communicator mail to work with your PlusNet account.
1 Open Communicator and click on Edit then Preferences
2 Click on Mail & Newsgroups and select Identity. Enter the relevant details into each box, your email address, your real name and your organisation (if applicable).
Your email address should be in the format alias@username.plus.com where 'alias' can be any word you like such as your first name. You may wish to use your domain name if you have one registered and hosted on your PlusNet account (alias@yourdomain.co.uk).
3 Click on Mail Servers in the left hand column and type relay.plus.net in the Outgoing mail (SMTP) server box (below). You are not required to enter your username in the 'outgoing mail server user name' box; this should be left blank.
4 Click Add and enter mail.plus.net in the Server Name box (below). Server type should read POP3 server. Enter your username in the username box.
5 Click OK, then OK again. You are now ready to send and receive your email.
