Spam emails have not been marked as [-SPAM-]
For the most part, our filters are very good at recognising spam email but sometimes it will miss things and spam will get through.
Spammers are constantly changing their tactics to get around spam filters and so we need to train our spam filters to make sure that newer spam is picked up.
If you've received an email that you think should have been marked as spam, you can help us by forwarding the email as an attachment to spam@spamtraining.plus.com.
Check our article on how to forward emails as attachments if you need help doing this. You can also use the Fast Forward utility if you are using a Windows PC with Outlook, Outlook Express, Eudora or Incredimail.
[Top]False Positives - An email has been marked as [-SPAM-] but it is legitimate
In the same way that our spam filters can miss spam email, it can sometimes think an email is spam when it's not.
If you have such an email, please forward the email as an attachment to notspam@spamtraining.plus.com.
See our article on how to forward emails as attachments if you need help with this..
[Top]Reporting spam using SpamCop
If you want to report spam to an authority, we suggest using one of the online systems set up for this purpose, such as SpamCop.
You'll need to register an account (which is free). You can then log in to your SpamCop account and report any spam emails you receive.
SpamCop will contact the administrators of the email servers involved and any websites which may be advertised in the spam email, helping to stop the spamming at source.
Full details can be found on the SpamCop website.
[Top]FastForward utility
FastForward (previously known as SpamTrainer) is a plug-in for Outlook, Outlook Express, Eudora and Incredimail. It's designed to automatically forward emails to our spam training addresses, making this a quick and easy process.
Find out more and download the plug-in for free.
Important: FastForward is a third party application. We provide no guarantees as to its functionality, or warranty for any damage that using it may cause.
