Summary: Not sure how to refer someone. We give you some tips here
Introducing more people to the benefits of PlusNet is easy, and there are lots
of ways to do it. Below are five of the most popular ways that customers make
referrals.
1. Friends and FamilyThe most common way our customers make referrals is by telling their friends and family about us. Remember that it's always a good idea to follow up a recommendation with an email. Help your friend find the PlusNet website, and make sure they have your username to nominate you for your referral reward when they sign up.
Example: At work Graham had often heard his work colleagues and friends complain
about problems and small-print restrictions on their Internet services. Graham
told them about the great service he gets. He sent emails with a link to the
PlusNet website, asking them to quote his PlusNet username name if they decide
to sign up.

Two of his colleagues sign up to PlusNet and the following month Graham's subscription drops to £8.99 per month. 2. Community referralsOnline communities such as gaming clans or off-line communities such as hobby groups offer great opportunities to recommend PlusNet. Especially if the community is related to the benefits you get from your PlusNet service.
Example: Andy is an avid online gamer, he runs a gaming clan, and spends a lot
of time on gaming forums. He put a Referral banner on his forum signature,
earning referrals from many of the other forum members.

After a year, Andy is getting his broadband service completely free! 3. Refer with your email signatureYou probably send lots of emails every day. If you are not using the referral email tool, why not create an email signature that includes referral information in it? Remember to keep your signature file short and sweet.

These are excellent places to tell people about the great service you're getting from PlusNet. You can make posts about your service, add details to your profile, or where permissible add one of our referrals banners.

Clara is a student who keeps a popular blog, in which she reviews music gigs and films. She wrote a review of PlusNet's service and provides a link to the website, asking readers to use her PlusNet username if they decide to sign up. Five of her readers signed up for accounts. Clara now gets her Broadband Your Way Option 1 account for £7.49. 5. Got a webpage? Use banners! Most PlusNet accounts provide webspace. Creating a webpage is not as hard as you might think. If you already have a website, why not use our referral banners tutorial to add a banner?
