This is an update to this afternoon's post about intermittent problems you may have been having trying to send email using our relay servers.

Our engineers have now resolved the problem which was caused by database corruption following a connection problem earlier in the day between two of our Sheffield-based data centres.

We have recently been made aware of an intermittent problem some customers might be having sending email using our relay servers.

Attempts to send email may be returned with a '451 local temporary error' or similar.

Our network engineers are investigating and further details will be provided as they become available.

This is an update to this morning's announcement about the problem affecting our Fax-2-Email service.

Our engineers have now resolved the cause of the problem and full service has been restored.

We are currently investigating a problem affecting our Fax-2-Email service. Attempts to call customers' fax numbers will result in an engaged tone.

02/12/2009 @ 11:45 Inbound email delays (59552) - RESOLVED
This is an update to yesterday's post about delays affecting incoming email.

Yesterday afternoon our engineers identified a problem with the anti-spam appliances at one of our London data centres. This was inadvertently caused after we reverted a network change that was made before the weekend to combat another problem.

The email queues had returned to normal by 5.00pm yesterday and all email should now be getting delivered in a timely fashion.
